Forest Nursery of IA-Wis-IL, Inc., is owned by Leo and Mary Frueh. It was incorporated in October of 2008. They purchased a nursery operation they were associated with since 1975 and until Leo retired in 2005.
Their goal is to continue to produce nursery stock of high quality - mainly for reforestation, windbreaks, and other natural resource plantings.
Recently, there has been a strong interest as well as policy initiatives by government agencies to develop and promote biomass for our energy needs. Many environmental goals can be enhanced with biomass tree plantings on vulneralbe agricultural land. Iawisil is working with research and university specialists in developing some nursery stock for these goals.
